June was an intensely busy month for real estate in the GTA with both sales and prices experiencing double-digit growth. According to figures released Tuesday by the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB), the GTA saw 11,992 sales of existing homes in June, a year-over-year increase of 18.4 per cent and a new record for the month. Though sales were up among all property types, condos saw the highest growth rate. Month: November 2015 Home sales hit all-time high in October, setting up GTA for record-breaking 2015

Homes are selling in record numbers in the Greater Toronto Area. Some 8,804 homes across all housing types — detached, semi-detached, townhomes and condos — were sold through the Toronto Real Estate Board’s (TREB) MLS system in October, the board said today. The figure represents a 3.4 per cent year-over-year increase in resale activity. “It is clear that many GTA households remain upbeat about home ownership because owning a home represents a high quality, long-term investment,” Mark McLean, the board’s president. Month: November 2015 New low-rise home prices in the GTA hit all-time high in July, 2015

The average asking price for new low-rise homes and new high-rise homes per square foot both reached new highs last month in the GTA, according to numbers released Thursday from market research firm RealNet. For new low-rise homes, which include detached and semi-detached homes as well as townhomes, the average asking price hit a record-setting $806,391 last month, according to RealNet’s New Home Price Index. July, 2015 marked another record breaking month for the GTA housing market with the region’s realtors reporting 9,880 sales through the Toronto Real Estate Board’s (TREB) MLS System.
